“For this month’s sustainable youth spotlight, please welcome Jack Becker! He is a volunteer at a sustainable agricultural market garden and would like to share some tips with you.
- Fall is the time for garlic planting (see photo)! From a single bulb you can plant each individual clove which multiply quickly in the years to come.
- If the temperature quickly drops in the coming weeks, use an old water jug to create a tiny greenhouse over vegetables you have been waiting to harvest.
Jack is also an avid thrifter and finds the fall a perfect time to search for some sweaters to get through the colder months. ”
Thanks!
