“For this month’s sustainable youth spotlight, please welcome Jack Becker! He is a volunteer at a sustainable agricultural market garden and would like to share some tips with you.

  1. Fall is the time for garlic planting (see photo)! From a single bulb you can plant each individual clove which multiply quickly in the years to come.
  2. If the temperature quickly drops in the coming weeks, use an old water jug to create a tiny greenhouse over vegetables you have been waiting to harvest.

Jack is also an avid thrifter and finds the fall a perfect time to search for some sweaters to get through the colder months. ”

Thanks!
