This October 24th, municipal elections will happen all across Ontario and the stakes are high. Municipalities control what gets built where – and that will determine both the future of our cities as well as the future of green spaces outside of our cities. On election day, we all need to vote for candidates who will resist new highways and gas plants, and use new homes & workplaces to turn existing car-dependent neighbourhoods into dense, walkable complete communities, rather than creating more nature-destroying sprawl.
