Flooding, and fires, and hurricanes, reminds me of Dorothy’s “lions and tigers and bears ” from The Wizard of Oz! Like Dorothy we are searching for the road that will lead us to a solution to the scary things that are happening.
In the real world there are environmental, social and economic consequences for the ‘extreme weather’ events that have become more frequent in the last 50 years, and those 100 year events are now happening every other year! That’s really scary.
The upcoming Federal election gives us all an opportunity to choose the road we want to travel as a country for the next 4 years. It is a right not to be taken lightly.
On October 9th at the Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D’Arcy St. With a Meet and Greet beginning at 6:30 p.m., and the Forum at 7:00, moderated by Denny Manchee, you will hear those questions the answers to which will inform you as to who you want to represent Northumberland Peterborough-South on the Federal landscape.
Come with your own questions!
This event is hosted by Sustainable Cobourg, Blue Dot – Northumberland Chapter ( David Suzuki Foundation) , and Council of Canadians
Refreshments will be served and the event is free.
