Well, it’s sad but true that the ‘Go Green Together’ building at 739 D’Arcy that has been our base for the last five years has been designated as the site for the Venture 13 development. So Sustainable Cobourg, along with Community Power Northumberland and Cycle Transitions, as well as all the Community Partners, are out as of  next week!

We are hoping for a new space in the future but plans are unclear. We’ve already arranged to have a meeting space in the brand new HTM insurance building on Elgin. It is a beautiful building and I have already suggested some elements that would make it more sustainable!

We are looking for volunteers to help out at the 100 Mile Diet Event in Grafton on September 10th and are really hoping that some of you will be interested. We would also like to strike a membership sub-committee. If you’re interested please contact me 905-269-9355, or gludorfweaver@sustainablecobourg.ca. We’re hoping to have a Membership Drive at the Mill so if you have any ideas please contact me.

Please let us know your concerns and what YOU think SC should be involved in.

Oh and don’t forget about our AGM Saturday October 28th, 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. and we’re planning for those who want to socialize afterwards to go out for a drink/meal together. You’ll  get to meet our Corporate members and learn about them and their good works. I’m hoping to get the meeting room we will have at the HTM building to hold the meeting but I’ll have to finalize that first.

Keep in touch :>)
